We are proud to have been selected, by the Nicaraguan government and the Inter-American Development Bank, to carry out this challenging and interesting project, together with our GetBetter partners.
The electronic invoice, already implemented in several countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Ecuador among others, has become a model to follow both for its effectiveness for tax control and for the benefits for taxpayers, by minimizing the cost of your transactions and billing management.
However, the model must be complemented with control mechanisms, since the quality and quantity of information generated by the electronic invoicing processes would have no purpose. Thus, very rightly, the DGI proposes as part of the project, the implementation of mass inspection models and selective inspection, as well as risk analysis models for the optimization of control actions.
We are sure that other Central American countries, such as Panama, which has already started with its first conceptualization activities, will add more positive experiences to this model enabled by the technological development of our countries.
