After 18 months of intense work, we successfully completed the implementation of the new SIPOL (Police System) for the Nicaraguan National Police.
The project was a great challenge both for us and for the institution itself, since very ambitious objectives were set. Unlike other technological renovation projects, this was a comprehensive project, where all stages of the life cycle were taken into account, which resulted in the implementation of the new SIPOL.
The first stage of the project consisted of carrying out the diagnosis, which took into account: the information systems in use, technological resources, human capital, and the conceptual design of SIPOL.
In a second stage, the new conceptual design of SIPOL was elaborated based on the diagnosis.
In the third stage of the project, the new systems that make up the implementation of the new SIPOL were developed, where the following stand out:
- RESA: Simplified Register of Police Activity.
- GECAL: Integrated Quality Management System.
- SIPOL: System of Indicators, Crime Maps and Reports.
Finally, in the last stage of the project, the trainings were carried out. The first cycle of training reached all levels of the institution, and consisted of learning how to use the new systems. The second cycle of training was aimed at decision makers, where they were trained in data management and its link to the development of public policies.
We can only thank the Nicaraguan National Police for the trust placed and their participation in all stages of the project, but above all with a strong counterpart team that ensured the success of the project.
